Wandering Minstrel by "Cowboy Jim" Gregory This story chronicles the incredible odyssey of Cowboy Jim Gregory, and his almost unbelievable journey across the United States by horseback in the 1950s - a decade when equestrian travel almost blinked out of existence. The reader follows Cowboy Jim from concept to conclusion, as he makes his way across America to bring awareness for the need for better highway safety. A religious man of music, traveling in God's way, Jim sets out to cross our land, trusting in Divine Providence to take him safely to the end of the route. We travel with him day by day through hardship and easy times alike, while he goes through this unique and unusual experience, never losing his faith, even though at times his very life was in peril. He experiences a multitude of characters along his way, some devious, while others prove to be angels in disguise. After many months of travel under the most primitive and difficult of conditions, Cowboy Jim ultimately concludes his journey, rewarded for his efforts by being honored by the likes of TV personalities such as Johnny Carson and Bess Myerson. The final and most wonderful reward of all was finding and marrying his loving wife Barbara. To order a copy of "Wandering Minstrel please call 1-800-227-6015. |
